Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Health Services or Economics or equivalent field required
- 1-3 years of hands-on work experience in business intelligence and analytics. Technical knowledge of BI techniques and tools like Tableau or Looker
- Experience conducting data analysis in Python, SQL and Excel
- Strong communication skills necessary to relay complex data analysis requirements to team members and customers
- Strong organizational and planning skills are essential
- Ability to work independently when needed, applying critical thinking and problem solving to achieve a positive outcome
- Demonstrated expertise in data visualization and storytelling techniques, utilizing advanced tools and frameworks to create compelling and interactive data visualizations
Responsibilities
- Understand Apixioβs business, products and data stores
- Gather requirements from internal customer teams (medical coding, customer success, product, marketing) around data analysis
- Identify the best sources of primary or secondary data to satisfy business requirements
- Work with cross-functional teams (analytics, data integrations, engineering) to collect and transform data
- Review metrics with customer teams to determine if forecasted outcomes and KPIs are in alignment with expectations
- Use business intelligence tools to create reports and visualizations that communicate results of data analysis
- Combine data from multiple sources and business logic to create reports and dashboards for delivery
- Present and explain analytical problems, approaches, results, and recommendations
- Demonstrate ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment with evolving product capabilities
- Have a high degree of initiative and customer service focus
- Be a results-oriented team player
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the healthcare industry
- Experience with object-oriented programming
- Experience with statistics and data modeling concepts like multivariate regression, segmentation modeling, machine learning, data mining, simulation, optimization, forecasting
- Experience with other business intelligence backend and analytics applications
