Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • At least 10 years of experience in civil engineering and project management, preferably in the land development sector
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex and large-scale projects within scope, budget, and schedule
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques
  • Proficient in using various engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, etc
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design/engineer, and manage the execution of civil engineering projects
  • Prepare and review project proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, specifications, drawings, and reports
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external parties
  • Monitor and control the progress, quality, and performance of the projects
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates on project status, milestones and deliverables
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues and manage changes and conflicts
  • Conduct site inspections/observations to check compliance with permitted design drawings and provide technical support and solutions to field staff and contractors
  • Lead and motivate a project team, providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to ensure high performance and professional growth
  • Foster collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting communication, teamwork and knowledge sharing among team members
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering processes, methods, and tools
