Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Design, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of work experience in front-end development, with a strong emphasis on UI/UX design
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS (UI + API) environment, ideally within the logistics tech industry
  • Experience in a startup environment, particularly as an early engineering hire who has contributed to building a technical product from scratch to scale
  • Proven experience with any of these: ReactJS/VueJS/NextJS, preferably with NuxtJS
  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services like AWS
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
  • Familiarity with CSS pre-processors such as Sass or Less
  • Experience with front-end build tools and package managers (Webpack, npm, Yarn)
  • Strong knowledge with back-end technologies and API integration

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize our web applications using modern front-end technologies, specifically NuxtJS
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards
  • Work closely with our Product Designer and Product Manager to translate design mockups and wireframes into high-quality, responsive web interfaces
  • Continuously improve the user experience by implementing feedback from users and stakeholders. Conduct user testing and usability studies with customers to gather insights and refine the UI/UX
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use, ensuring consistency across our applications
  • Work closely with back-end engineers to integrate APIs (Hasura, Typesense) and ensure seamless functionality across the entire stack

About You:

We’re seeking a proactive and skilled Front-End Engineer with a strong focus on UI/UX to join our lean team. As a Front-End Engineer at Portcast, you will work closely with our Product & Engineering team to create intuitive, responsive, and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces for our web app. You will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and ensuring our products are easy to use and visually appealing.

Your Role:

  • Front-End Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize our web applications using modern front-end technologies, specifically NuxtJS. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.

To thrive in this role, you must have:
