Summary
Join our team as Head of DevOps to scale and future-proof our DevOps org and infrastructure. As a leader, you will guide the team in tackling scalability and reliability issues, develop the DevOps roadmap together with senior Engineering leadership, and oversee infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform.
Requirements
- 10+ years in IT/Engineering roles with 5+ years specifically in DevOps leadership or management
- Deep understanding AWS, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Istio), and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring engineering teams, with strong project and stakeholder management skills
- Extensive experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent
- Expertise in automation and infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Strong understanding of security best practices in DevOps, with experience in compliance and governance standards
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the DevOps strategy, aligning it with overall technology and business goals
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps engineers, fostering high performance and growth
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the automation of all processes such as builds, testing, and deployments
- Oversee infrastructure provisioning, ensuring scalability and reliability using tools like Terraform
- Manage our AWS environment ensuring cost efficiency, security, and scalability
- Extend monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure high availability, performance, and operational efficiency
- Continue work started with SOC 2 to integrate security protocols into the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring compliance and resilience against threats
- Work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle and improve cross-functional workflows
- Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for system outages and performance bottlenecks
- Evaluate and adopt new DevOps tools and technologies, continuously improving workflows and practices
- Optimize cloud and infrastructure spending, ensuring financial efficiency across operations
