Requirements
- At least five years experience as HR Generalist or comparable position
- SHRM or HR certification preferred
- Ability to work on daily tasks and think critically
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and maintain confidentiality
- Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Takes initiative and problem solves utilizing resourceful methods
- Desire to work collaboratively with a results driven approach
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Experience managing compliance across multiple states
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems
- Proficient with collaborative work spaces and documents
Responsibilities
- Perform routine tasks in support of human resource programs including but not limited to wellness, performance management, employee relations, leave management, workers compensation, and employee engagement
- Act as the main point of contact for HR related inquiries
- Administer and manage research-based benefits programs
- Support managers in addressing and managing performance
- Organize and maintain HR databases and employee files
- Organize and promote company-wide social and team-building events and activities
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review and administer policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Develop, implement and communicate human resource policies
- Support the accuracy of payroll administration
- Support with compensation and training and development
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources
- Leverage technology to create efficiencies, eliminate time-consuming manual processes, and improve HR's effectiveness and value
- Gather and analyze HR data and KPIs
- Devise programs and practices that enhance the employee experience and add to our culture
- Work with management and personnel to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, build morale, and decrease unwanted turnover
- Effectively collaborate and communicate with internal and external entities working diligently to resolve issues
- Operate with a high level of urgency and maximize productivity and profitability
- Assist in identifying current business challenges and drive HR strategies and solutions for overcoming these challenges
- Back up other areas of HR and perform other duties as assigned
