What are we hiring for?

At Air Apps, we’re an innovative app startup dedicated to creating top-notch iOS applications. Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences and cutting-edge designs that align with Apple’s design principles. We’re looking for a Fresh Graduate/Junior UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team in Portugal, where you’ll have the opportunity to grow, learn, and make a significant impact on our products.

As a Junior UI/UX Designer, you will be part of our design team, working cross-functionally with our studio teams on a variety of apps and company programs. This role is for someone who is fresh and new to the craft of UI/UX design, with a strong passion for iOS-centric design. You’ll have the chance to learn by doing, mentored by experienced designers who will help you develop your skills and expertise in creating beautiful, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who will:

• Collaborate with studio and design team members to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for iOS applications.
• Assist in the development of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that align with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines (HIG).
• Participate in user research and usability testing to gather insights and feedback for improving app designs.
• Implement design feedback and iterate on designs based on user feedback and team input.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in iOS design, ensuring our apps are cutting-edge and align with Apple’s design standards.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

You aspire to join an energetic team in a fast-growing startup to build and grow products at scale. Your desired skills and experience include:

• Entry level up to 2 years of experience.

• A passion for UI/UX design with a focus on iOS-centric design principles.

• Basic understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and a keen interest in following Apple’s keynotes and design updates.

• A portfolio showcasing your design work, with a focus on iOS app designs (personal projects, academic projects, or internships are acceptable).

• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.

• Basic knowledge of user research and usability testing methodologies.

• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.

• A degree in Design or a related field is a plus but not required.
