Your mission

Cultivate your passion for blockchain by learning & integrating the newest DeFi tech into our existing blockchain services that are used by millions of happy Bitpanda customers.

What you’ll do

• Grow your skills and build cutting edge tech by maintaining crypto nodes and working on services that interact with various parts of the Crypto ecosystem.
• Learn how to build clean, scalable, and maintainable solutions for high-performance backend systems using event-driven architecture with Kafka, hosted on AWS.
• Start to work on loosely coupled microservices that support core business service of the entire organisation, with your mentor/engineering coach.
• Join a motivated team of highly skilled, experienced developers that can support and mentor you on your learning journey.

Who you are

• You have a fundamental understanding and passion of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology and are eager to dive into it more!
• Confident Python programming skills with API development basics. For example an understanding of type hints and annotations and how to use these features to improve code quality, readability, and maintainability.
• Experience with using relational or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB).
• Basic knowledge of event driven design, like event streams, message brokers (e.g. Apache Kafka)
• Familiarity with any of the following are huge bonus points: Cryptonodes, AWS Services, DevOps infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code, AI, smart contracts, Web3, API design, network communication.
