Linux Administrator

Summary

Join GoDaddy's team as a Senior Linux SRE and contribute to the reliability, availability, and performance of our on-prem Linux-based database systems. This remote position requires collaboration with engineering and operations teams to design, build, and maintain infrastructure. You will monitor system performance, automate tasks, and participate in on-call rotations. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Linux SRE
• 3+ years of experience in Linux system administration, including server installation, configuration, bash scripting, and troubleshooting
• 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining on prem Linux-based infrastructure
• Professional experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Cassandra
• 1+ year of professional programming experience, preferably with Python or Go, on a production running service
• 1+ years experience with fully provisioning servers or services with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible

• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems
• Collaborate with our engineering and operations teams to ensure that our infrastructure meets the needs of our application
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues
• Automate common tasks and processes to streamline operations
• Contribute to the development of our operational best practices, standards, APIs, and other continuously running services
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for our systems
