Requirements
- Proficiency in Oracle, with over 4 years of experience
- In-depth knowledge of core Oracle concepts and architecture
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Expertise in GoldenGate, Exadata, and RAC technologies
- Competency in managing Linux/Unix server environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD principles, especially using Jenkins and GitLab
- Understanding of AWS
- Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher English proficiency for communication in a multinational environment
- Expertise in Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager) or Data Guard for database backup, recovery, and replication is often crucial in DBA roles
- Experience with database security measures, such as encryption, user roles, and access control management (especially important for sensitive data protection)
- Proven experience in performance tuning (both at the database and query level) is often emphasized for DBAs to optimize performance in production environments
- Experience with managing database upgrades, patches, and ensuring version control without impacting production systems
- Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, Perl, or Python) to automate routine DBA tasks could be useful
- Experience in implementing and managing high-availability solutions (including Oracle RAC, Data Guard) to minimize downtime
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain Oracle databases to meet business requirements
- Support database migrations between on-premises and cloud environments (such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
- Analyze data access patterns to identify and address hotspots and bottlenecks for optimal performance
- Assist developers with data model design and review, planning high-performing queries
- Define and implement best practices for Oracle database management, including configuration and performance monitoring
- Manage the storage capacity of database clusters, planning for future growth
- Provide diagnostic support and troubleshoot production issues to ensure reliability and performance
