Remote Pharmacy Operations Implementation Specialist

Summary

Join Shields as a Pharmacy Operations Implementation Specialist and support new and existing initiatives to advance specialty pharmacy operations for partner health systems. As a key member of the cross-functional implementation team, you will work closely with partners to ensure timely implementation of pharmacy operating systems and develop appropriate workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience in an outpatient pharmacy setting (retail, mail-order, specialty)
• 1+ years of experience working in a client facing capacity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint (at least intermediate level)
• Willingness to travel to client sites on a short notice
• Experience in hospital-based outpatient and specialty operations
• Pharmacy operations supervisor/manager experience
• Familiarity with multiple pharmacy operating systems (Rx30, Epic Willow, Cerner Retail, QS1, ScriptPro, etc…)
• Experience managing/owning workstreams in a professional services environment
• Working knowledge Microsoft Vizio, specifically creating process flow diagrams
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
• Familiarity with pharmacy shipping and cold chain solutions
• Pharmacy call center experience
• Strong client management capabilities and ability to interface well with all levels of a large organization/ hospital systems
• Highly proficient organizational and project management capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with limited supervision or within a team

Responsibilities

• Conducting pharmacy operations gap analyses at partner health systems
• Supporting vendor selection processes for pharmacy fixtures, furniture and equipment, pharmacy software, shipping software, POS system, cold chain solution, ACD phone system, after-hours answering service, and shipping/delivery services
• Supporting implementation of pharmacy IT and telecommunications systems
• Assist partner health system in setting up wholesaler accounts
• Actively engaging partners to ensure adequate progress towards target deadlines
• Assisting with the completion of forms/applications as needed
• Developing process flow diagrams for standard pharmacy operations including workflows for pharmacy personnel interacting with remote teams including clinic-based pharmacy liaisons and centralized clinical pharmacy team in Stoughton, MA
• Updating internal project tracking document(s) and sharing updates with supervisor
• Representing pharmacy operations team in internal and partner meetings including weekly partner site facilities/construction meetings
• Participating in pharmacy site visits as necessary including pharmacy go-live support
