Join Oscar's Corporate Counsel team as a Regulatory Manager to lead the standardization process, participate in legal reviews, and develop language for Evidences of Coverage.
Requirements
- A Bachelorโs degree in the humanities, legal studies, health care administration, political science, public administration, public health, or other relevant field, or a combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of legal or regulatory experience, ideally in the health plan/managed care space
- 2+ year experience with Westlaw, legislative tracking software, and Google Workspace
Responsibilities
- Independently leads Oscarโs standardization process, inclusive of tool making, language development and proposals, rewrites, and drafting guides
- Participate in comprehensive legal reviews to document the rationale behind state specific differences and ensure submitted materials follow state and federal law
- Prepare clear, concise, user friendly tooling for our filing teams to utilize and accurately draft documentation from, that is both legally compliant and representative of business priorities
- Present to and lead internal audiences in discussion on strategic updates related to our Evidences of Coverage
- Partner with PRO Counsel and cross functional business partners to ensure that year-over-year operational changes are accurately and compliantly represented in our legal documents
- Develop, implement and manage sustainable processes which simplify our growing teamโs outputs while ensuring high quality deliverables
- Manage related tasks as assigned by the Associate Director, Regulatory Operations
- Review documentation for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and develop language where necessary
- Assist in the preparation of EOC filing materials as needed
