Remote Senior Backend Engineer

Join OLX and see how far you can go. We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our newly established Generative AI Services team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development with Python, Kotlin, or Go
• Professional experience working with Flutter or any other modern cross-platform framework is a big plus
• Experience with logging systems, application performance monitoring (APM), and alerting mechanisms
• Experience in setting up and maintaining development environments, including containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes
• The ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
• Experience in architecting Cloud Native solutions; AWS experience
• Experience working in multi-functional teams
• A belief in self-aligned teams and the 'you build it, you run it' philosophy
• Experience in building AI/ML-enabled products is a plus

Responsibilities

• Take part in the planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects
• Serve as the primary entry point for all back-end-related tasks for the team
• Be prepared to contribute to mobile applications written in Flutter and other front-end tasks
• Encourage the team to innovate, invent, implement, and deploy complex software solutions
• Ask questions, brainstorm, and take ownership of the product we are building
• Work closely with the product management team to ensure we’re building the best products for our users
