Remote Senior Data Engineer

Summary

Join Thrive Market's Data Engineering team as a Senior Data Engineer to help build high-impact products alongside the Data Strategy Team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working on structured/semi-structured/Complex data processing and streaming frameworks, and be able to collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to understand business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver data solutions that meet business and technical requirements
• Lead the ongoing development of a specialized Operational Data Store (ODS) that integrates with NetSuite to create a SOX-compliant automated order-to-cash process
• Be hands-on and take full ownership of the entire data services lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data profiling, data ingestion, ETL development, and validation of data products for reporting and analysis
• Architect data modeling and ETL processes to ensure data is transformed accurately and promptly, with clear audit logs recorded
• Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of cross-system integration, interactions, and relationships to develop an enterprise view of Thrive Market’s future data needs
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production data integrity and performance issues
• Work across multiple projects and efforts to orchestrate and deliver cohesive data engineering solutions in partnership with various functional teams at Thrive Market
• Recommend/Ensure technical functionality (e.g. scalability, security, performance, data recovery, reliability, audibility, etc.) for Data Engineering
• Apply enterprise and solution architecture decisions to data architecture frameworks and data models
