Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a focus on mobile gaming or a related industry
• Strong programming skills in Python or R
• Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques
• Experience with big data technologies
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools
• Deep understanding of game mechanics, economies, and player behavior
• Experience with A/B testing and experimental design
• Familiarity with game analytics platforms and tools

Responsibilities

• Analyze player behavior during the first-time user experience (FTUE) to identify areas of friction and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and implement A/B testing strategies to optimize onboarding flows, tutorials, and early game mechanics
• Build predictive models to identify players at risk of churn and develop targeted interventions to improve retention
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as player engagement, retention, monetization, and virality
• Analyze player behavior data to understand game mechanics, identify imbalances, and optimize game design
• Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders and inform data-driven decision-making
• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets of player behavior, in-game events, and economic activity
• Build predictive models to forecast player behavior, optimize game parameters, and personalize the player experience
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure data quality and accessibility
• Work closely with game designers, product managers, and engineers to translate data insights into actionable game improvements
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences through clear visualizations and presentations
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and mobile gaming trends

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Mobile game optimization
• Expertise with Database technologies such as  (Athena, Mongo, Postgres)
• Familiarity with deep learning techniques
• Contributions to open-source projects or publications in relevant fields
