Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related area (In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant experience may be considered)
  • 6+ years of related experience with DevOps Production Operations and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience in Azure DevOps for repository management, CI/CD, and solution delivery
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in C#, ASP.NET, Angular and Database Programming in T-SQL (SQL Server)
  • Experience in High-Availability Environments for SaaS or cloud service providers such as Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with bash and/or PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Kubernetes, particularly AKS
  • Experience with troubleshooting, determining root cause analysis, and debugging code
  • Experience with Agile Software Development practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Participate in day-to-day Software Engineering activities
  • Collaborate with Agile Team members including but not limited to Software Engineers, Automation Engineers, Product Delivery experts and Software Test Engineers
  • Participate in the process of strategic project planning and provide your unique guidance and expertise on system options, risk, impact, and costs vs benefits
  • Develop, install, configure, and build IT solutions, implement reusable components, translate technical requirements, assist with all stages of data, and perform script maintenance and updates
  • Build an automated deployment framework using configuration management technology while creating requirements and procedures for implementing routine maintenance
  • Troubleshoot existing information systems for errors and resolve those errors related directly to environment configurations and definitions within our Development, Testing and Production environments
  • Structure our Software Configuration Management System for the purposes of deployments, monitor environment stability and scale issues to Infrastructure when servers are not behaving as expected

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll collaborate with Software Engineers in devising appropriate coding strategies and configuration settings for assuring the highest standards in the deployment of our systems to all different environments. Within the DevOps Engineer aspects, you will automate, build, maintain, troubleshoot and streamline all deployment operations and process tools for software applications built by our talented Software Engineers. You’ll work hands-on with developers to assure success of the environment configurations, settings and definitions. You will help in the understanding of code and configuration definitions made for automated releases and deployments within our company with the help of documentation.

  • We are proud to offer a flexible hybrid work model which will require certain on-site workdays (Puerto Rico Location Only)
  • This position requires availability to work in a specified time zone or working schedule, accommodating the business needs of our clients and team members.
  • This position may require availability for on-call hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to promptly address emergent issues or provide necessary support as dictated by operational demands (if applicable).

Physical requirements…

  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
