Join Whitebox, a leading digital wealth manager in Germany, as an exceptional DevOps Engineer. You will be part of an agile, globally distributed team responsible for maintaining and optimizing our cloud environment, focusing on AWS and relational database administration. Requirements

  • 7 years of experience as a DevOps engineer focussing on managing and optimizing cloud environments
  • 5 years of experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Thorough experience with containerization technologies
  • Thorough experience with building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, or others
  • Thorough experience with scripting and automation with Bash
  • Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and best practices, as well as networking concepts and security protocols
  • Strong expertise in relational database administration, including performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and database security
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical team members
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as part of a distributed team

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize our cloud environment
  • Possess expertise in relational database administration and security
  • Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, or Cloudformation
  • Experience with network tools such as iptables, traceroute, ping, nmap, netstat, or tcpdump
  • Experience with provisioning tools like Chef, Ansible, puppet, salt, and others
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of cross-platform issues
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Passion for company-wide security, with a strong desire to promote and implement security best practices across the organization
  • Passion for taking responsibility and driving growth in a product company
