Summary

Join Solution Tree Press as a Senior Acquisitions Editor and contribute to the mission of delivering comprehensive professional development to schools and districts worldwide. As a key member, you will be responsible for strategically seeking out prospective authors and acquiring manuscripts that align with Solution Tree's vision.

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. in Education, English, or related field or equivalent academic and work experience
• At least 7 years’ experience in the K–12 educational publishing industry; experience across the span of all grades K–12 is preferred
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain working relationships with leading and emerging authors in the field
• Proactively solicit and evaluate new book proposals and manuscripts
• Meet annual acquisitions goals for new contracts
• Shape manuscript concepts to address market needs and provide timely and thoughtful feedback on manuscript drafts
• Prepare manuscripts for transmittal to production
