Summary

Join RELEX Solutions as a Senior Performance Engineer to lead performance and site reliability engineering initiatives, optimizing software performance and developing in-house tools.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in performance engineering with a strong emphasis on performance testing, analysis, and optimization
  • Proficiency in scripting and executing performance tests using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, and Prometheus, as well as familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language commonly used in performance testing, such as Java, Python, Perl, or .NET
  • Experience with database management and querying, including SQL for relational databases or equivalent query languages for NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • A strong understanding of testing methodologies, quality assurance principles, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance
  • Analyse test results and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, areas for optimization, and opportunities for improvement
  • Bring visibility to performance metrics and understand their effects on customers
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to implement performance enhancements and ensure the scalability and reliability of our applications
  • Leverage your development background (Java, Python, or similar) to contribute to team tooling and infrastructure
  • Communicate performance testing outcomes, system optimizations, and potential risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing and quality assurance processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Identify project risks, potential bottlenecks, and mitigation strategies to ensure performance goals are met
