Summary

Join Method, a global design and engineering consultancy, as a Test Engineering Lead. Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in test engineering
  • Experience with Cypress or similar tooling for automating browser-based tests
  • Experience working within a team developing software or supporting software development efforts
  • SQL Expertise: Expert SQL skills for complex data querying, validation, and integrity checks
  • Data Validation & Pipeline Testing: Deep experience in testing data accuracy and transformations across complex data pipelines
  • Python for Test Automation: Proficient in Python is a must for automating tests, generating data, and custom validations
  • API Testing Acumen: Skilled in API testing to ensure data integrity through service interfaces
  • Clear Communication: Effective at articulating complex data issues to both technical and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • You work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • You develop testing solutions by
  • Analyzing information needs and creating test data
  • Conferring with users and engineers
  • Studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes
  • Investigating and understanding problem areas
  • Standing up and maintaining the test automation suite
  • Review test cases and ensure that they align with requirements and have appropriate coverage
  • Design test cases and perform various types of testing such as functional, integration, and end-to-end, on various platforms such as mobile devices and web browsers
  • Support project teams in defining suitable quality objectives and acceptance criteria
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback and suggestions to increase quality
  • Fulfill all the duties of more junior test engineer team members when necessary
  • On smaller to medium size projects
  • You lead the project to ensure quality deliverables, client satisfaction, and on-time delivery
  • You define test direction, test plan, and outcomes to ensure project success
  • You maintain a leadership and ownership role over the delivery and coordination of the project, along with your Manager/Director and the entire team
  • You represent and communicate the project to the client in regard to kickoff, definition, clarifications, status, and updates
  • You proactively guide and assist colleagues, perceiving needs prior to them becoming issues
