Remote Senior PHP Developer (Laravel)

Requirements

• 5+ years of strong programming skills in PHP OOP
• Strong knowledge of Laravel framework (experience with latest versions of Laravel framework (> 7), ideally 9 and 10)
• Experience in building REST APIs
• Excellent knowledge of SOLID principles and design patterns
• Experience in building integrations using third-party APIs
• Excellent knowledge of MySQL
• Experience with using DB transactions and modeling database schema
• Experience with code versioning tools like Git
• Familiarity with Docker or Laravel Sail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Apply best practices and design patterns
• Participate in technical design and code reviews
• Interpret design requirements and concepts to produce new or enhanced application functionalities
• Write testable, well-designed, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Execute full lifecycle software development with a focus on security, quality, and knowledge sharing
• Mentor and guide junior developers while reporting to your engineering team lead

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Inertia.js
• Familiarity with Laravel actions
• Experience with the hosting industry
• Experience in Vue.js
• Experience with GraphQL (we use Laravel Lighthouse)
