Remote Senior Privacy Engineer

Join Axon and be a Force for Good. As a technical lead on the Privacy team, you will design, build, and maintain back-end systems and services that power privacy and data compliance across Axon ecosystem.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems on Azure, AWS, or other public cloud infrastructure
• Experience with at least two of the areas below: Experience building data pipelines, especially for privacy process and workflows Experience with implementing data anonymization/de-identification tools Experience integrating 3rd party solutions to internal systems and services Experience with system to system communication implementation, high-scale microservices, Kubernetes, service orchestration/inter-service authentication, CI/CD pipelines setup and tune up
• Design, implement, and tune robust APIs and API framework related features that perform and scale in a multi-tenant environment
• Backend service experience in multiple, managed languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C#, Python, or similar
• Experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain back-end systems and services that power privacy and data compliance across Axon ecosystem
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
• Mentor engineers
