Requirements

  • Experience growing, leading and developing software engineering teams and Leaders
  • Strong knowledge in both infrastructure and software development best practices, and how to leverage those to improve the Developer experience
  • A deep technical understanding of how to leverage Kubernetes to build, evolve, and maintain large, reliable, and scalable systems on cloud infrastructure
  • An ability to develop internal and external relationships, championing the Reliability and Infrastructure vision and strategy
  • A collaborative and open approach to communication: you are experienced in delivering clear, concise and solution-focused messages, that are easily understood by a cross-discipline team

Responsibilities

  • Grow, lead and coach a team of Reliability and Infrastructure Platform Managers
  • Complete a multi-year migration to Kubernetes that evolves our AWS cloud infrastructure’s reliability and performance
  • Create a strategic roadmap for our Platform team that will empower a better internal developer experience
  • Develop improved observability for the team via monitoring metrics dashboards, logs and other visual content
  • Partner with Recruitment to nurture and develop relationships with diverse groups, ensuring Wealthsimple’s Infrastructure team’s voice, message and vision is shared
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in SRE, Operations and Infrastructure in order to offer best-in-class solutions for our customers
