Remote Site Reliability Engineer

Requirements

• 3+ years in an SRE or related role in a high-availability environment
• Advanced understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or GCP or Azure), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture
• Experience with Linux, including server setup, package deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and security
• Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs)
• Advanced knowledge of scripting and programming languages (Python, Go, Bash) and experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty and ELK Stack for monitoring and observability
• Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and the importance of building APIs and self-service tools for development teams

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable systems
• Automate deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and reduce toil
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure service availability and performance
• Handle incidents, troubleshoot root cause analysis, and implement remediation measures
• Plan for scalability and capacity needs, optimize resource utilization, and improve system performance
• Ensure systems meet security standards and compliance requirements, mitigate risks and vulnerabilities
• Participate in on-call rotations ensuring system availability
• Collaborate and participate in the product life cycle, work closely with our product and development teams to integrate SRE best practices in a fast-paced environment to ensure alignment with business goals
• Take ownership of systems and service reliability
