Remote Software Engineer

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing and deploying software, preferably as part of microservice architectures and distributed systems
• Excellent working knowledge of Java, Spring and other supporting technologies
• Expertise using cloud platforms like AWS, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience developing APIs and RESTful services
• Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for our distributed systems and microservices, utilizing asynchronous communication patterns for optimal performance
• Take ownership of features and initiatives to ensure delivery and quality
• Build integrations with machine learning models and AIaaS solutions to create features to delight customers
• Contribute to the design and implementation of highly scalable architectures, prioritizing reliability, performance, and future-proof growth
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Participate in an on-call rotation and ensure timely response to production incidents and system outages. Collaborate in blameless postmortems for production incidents, focusing on root cause analysis, learning opportunities, and actionable improvement plans
