Remote Tax Senior - Income Tax

Summary

Join Burkland Associates as a Senior Tax Associate to support indirect tax compliance, reporting, research, consulting, planning, and integration activities. You will work closely with clients across multiple industries and companies as they grow and scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law, or related field
• 1-3 years of income tax experience
• Experience in international tax issues
• Detailed understanding and knowledge of tax principles
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities and reprioritize as needed
• Experience in process improvement and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong collaboration and business partnering skills, including excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices

Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance – Analyze and accurately prepare required federal (including international forms), state, and local tax returns
• Technical Tax Research – Stay current with legislation and regulations affecting clients and adapt strategies accordingly
• Tax Planning – Monitor client’s business and work with managers to develop tax advice. Assemble and maintain accounting and tax records to support filed returns and financial statement accounting
• Tax Technology – Identify ways to streamline and improve processes through data analytics and other technology tools including software integration
