Remote Tax Senior Associate

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 2+ years of tax accounting experience, preferably in the tech sector or public accounting
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and international tax laws
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of Tax and business leaders to manage tax compliance and address various tax needs
• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, managing outside advisors for accuracy and timeliness
• Lead communication with tax authorities and resolve tax-related inquiries
• Oversee tax provisions for financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance
• Stay updated on changes in federal, state, and international tax regulations
• Ensure compliance with sales and use tax laws, driving decisions based on sales tax nexus
• Develop and refine tax policies and strategies to optimize tax processes
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting
• Identify and implement process improvements in tax reporting and compliance
• Provide tax-related insights and advice to internal teams and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or MBA
• Experience working with multinational companies
• Familiarity with GAAP and other regulatory requirements for tax accounting
• Experience managing tax compliance in a fast-paced tech environment
• Proven ability to lead process improvements and collaborate cross-functionally
