Responsibilities

  • Serve as the face of the commercial team to a specific KOL community
  • Create and lead a thought leader engagement action plan to drive education of and advocacy for the brand aligned with its FDA-approved indication
  • Drive thought leader advocacy for the clinical profile aligned with brand and market development strategies
  • Identify commercial opportunities/gaps that may help advance patient care at either the thought leader’s institution or surrounding community
  • Facilitate executive exchanges with SpringWorks senior leadership team, as needed
  • Contribute to advisory planning in identifying key treatment or educational gaps for further understanding regarding specific disease state
  • Participate in the planning and execution of key congress meetings and associated commercial thought leader congress activities
  • Gather on-label insights on KOL preferences, opinions, and behaviors to understand attitudes/beliefs towards advocacy of brand as well as other disease state specific therapies
  • Collaborate with brand marketing team to develop specific disease state and brand relevant content for peer-to-peer education (KOL videos, print supplement, speaker programming) aligned with brand strategy and messaging
  • Partner with regulatory, legal, and compliance colleagues, and lead content through promotional review committee processes as needed
  • Coordinate and manage promotional speaker programs inclusive of speaker nominations, contracting, onboarding, training, coaching, compliance support, program execution and feedback gathering across all commercial speaker programs (live, web-based, patient advocacy related)
  • Collaborate in planning, execution, and pull through of GPO in-practice programs
  • Engage with KOLs to obtain feedback on new and existing disease state/market and brand-related marketing strategies, materials, etc
  • Assist in cross-functional planning and execution of expanding education through KOL voice amplification projects
  • Assist in cross-functional planning, recruitment, and execution of advisory boards designed to capture feedback and inform brand strategies and decisions; and other KOL projects/focus groups as needed
  • Identify and attend key regional/local congresses
  • Serve as commercial representative at select, national congresses and facilitate thought leader engagements
  • Collaborate with sales managers/teams to understand any regional/local drivers or barriers that uniquely impact the business and communicate those to the brand marketing team
  • Provide recommendations/guidance on ways to enhance drivers and mitigate barriers
  • Execute local/regional marketing initiatives to drive the awareness and utilization of targeted brand in alignment with the FDA-approved indication
  • Coordinate with local field teams (sales, medical affairs, market access) to establish /communicate clear and distinct roles and responsibilities for each SpringWorks field team member with KOL/Institution
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Summary:

The marketing team is responsible for the commercial planning and execution of one of the company’s rare disease brands.  This will entail the development and execution of critical strategies and tactics that ensure optimal positioning, utilization, and overall growth of the brand.

SpringWorks is seeking a dynamic individual with a high level of clinical and customer knowledge, deep commercial experience, and energy in developing and maintaining meaningful and productive relationships with HCPs (Health Care Professionals).

The Thought Leader Liaison is a field-based marketing role and will serve as a vital commercial contact with national and regional opinion leaders and will be accountable for execution of local marketing initiatives. Specifically, this team will be responsible for peer-to-peer education activities including the promotional speaker bureau(s), Conference engagement management, developing, and managing specific KOL management/engagement plans, building key relationships with specific disease state thought leaders through effective engagement planning, and understanding of regional business trends to facilitate pull-through of brand and on-label brand strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

KOL Engagement

  • Serve as the face of the commercial team to a specific KOL community
  • Create and lead a thought leader engagement action plan to drive education of and advocacy for the brand aligned with its FDA-approved indication:
    • Utilize KOL sentiment mapping of selected disease state U.S. thought leaders across various specialties and sites of care (Academic, Hospital, Community) Align KOL partnering implementation
    • Drive thought leader advocacy for the clinical profile aligned with brand and market development strategies
    • Identify commercial opportunities/gaps that may help advance patient care at either the thought leader’s institution or surrounding community
    • Facilitate executive exchanges with SpringWorks senior leadership team, as needed.
  • Contribute to advisory planninginidentifying key treatment or educational gaps for further understanding regarding specificdisease state, clinical product profile and utilization, or broader disease state landscape
    • Identify corresponding thought leader experts who may be able to provide insights to address these internal knowledge gaps
  • Participate in the planning and execution of key congress meetings and associated commercial thought leader congress activities
  • Gather on-label insights on KOL preferences, opinions, and behaviors to understand attitudes/beliefs towards advocacy of brand as well as other disease state specific therapies

Peer-to-Peer Education

    • In addition, partner across functions (where appropriate) to ensure sound understanding of treatment approach and challenges (FDA - approved indications) for the respective institution
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor’s Degree required;scientific/clinicaldegree and background preferred
  • 10+years customer facing pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience (field sales, product marketing, medical or clinical experience in the same or related therapeutic area)
  • 5+ years experience in rare disease or oncology
  • 2+ years work experience in one or more of the following is required: thought leader liaison, thought leader management, marketing/regional marketing or clinical experience in the same or related therapeutic area with experience in creating marketing strategies, plans, and tactics
  • Launch experience is preferred
  • Prior thought leader and speaker bureau management experience preferred
  • Good understanding of CRM management
  • Veeva Promo Mats/PRT experience
  • Ability to lead without authority with internal and external partners including local field teams

Location Classification – Remote:

Officially classified as working full-time from employee’s home office within the United States or respected region, with the expectation to travel to SpringWorks Therapeutics offices or other locations on occasion as business needs.​​

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this position is $170,000 – $219,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
