Requirements
- Have been a full-time user researcher for 2-4 years and are proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing, interviews, diary studies, surveys, and data analysis
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex insights clearly to various audiences
- Uphold research ethics and are sensitive to the complexities of research involving PHI and sensitive populations
- Be passionate about impact and can speak to how you work with partners to ensure findings and recommendations land and spark change
- Be curious, resourceful, and collaborative
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers and data analysts to identify and prioritize research questions
- Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, including interviews, usability tests, surveys and diary studies, and more
- Develop research plans, determining methods, creating instruments, recruiting participants and executing research
- Analyze research data to identify trends, insights, and actionable findings that inform product and design decisions
- Document findings and presenting insights to teams and stakeholders in a clear and compelling way, leveraging storytelling techniques to convey user needs and opportunities
- Create artifacts that encapsulate key insights about user needs, behaviors, and motivations to support product and design teams
- Continuously advocate for users and provide strategic insights that inform the design and product development process
- Support and iterate on processes for continuous research and sharing (e.g. rolling research, research repositories)
- Partner to define and expand the role of Research at Grow
