Responsibilities

  • Design user-friendly experiences to enhance user visibility into their cybersecurity efforts
  • Develop and communicate design concepts efficiently using Figma, incorporating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, mockups, and both high-fidelity and low-fidelity sketches as needed
  • Work in a highly collaborative fashion with the design, product and engineering teams
  • Engage proactively with research, users and additional stakeholders to identify pain points, gather feedback, and develop long-term solutions that align with their objectives and goals
  • Conduct usability testing to validate design decisions and improve user experiences

ABOUT THE ROLE

Second Front Systems (2F) is seeking a motivated UI/UX Designer to support our team. We are a fast-growing entrepreneurial team working at the convergence of technology and national security.

We’re on the lookout for a dynamic UI/UX Designer to join our expanding team. If you excel in lean startup settings and are driven by tangible impacts, this role is for you. Collaborate with us as we shape our cybersecurity-focused product. With this opportunity, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing a groundbreaking product, empowering users to take charge of their cybersecurity needs.

Note: This position requires U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Design user-friendly experiences to enhance user visibility into their cybersecurity efforts.
  • Develop and communicate design concepts efficiently using Figma, incorporating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, mockups, and both high-fidelity and low-fidelity sketches as needed.
  • Work in a highly collaborative fashion with the design, product and engineering teams.

Skills You’ll Bring to Our Team

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Experience following a user-centered or human-centered design approach, in conjunction with design thinking.
  • Enjoy getting involved in research and usability testing, and know when to engage with UXR.
  • You practice design iteration and have experience building strong connections with users.
  • Experience being involved in a product going from 0-1, balancing short term with long term design work.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and chaos in a fast paced, high growth environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 3 years of experience in Product Design, UX, or UI, specializing in web platform design for high-growth technology companies.
  • Experience designing B2B and SaaS interfaces and experience working with FedRAMP security controls.
  • Proven track record of owning and driving product design projects from concept to completion.
  • Exceptional communication skills in oral, written, and visual formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams.
  • Strong interest in national security matters.

$145,000 - $165,000 a year
