What is the role about?

We are looking for an experienced Workday Consultant who has implemented and supported Workday Payroll solutions (Ideally with Canadian Payroll experience). Only experienced Workday Consultants to apply please.

As a Workday Payroll Consultant, you will be a pivotal member of the VirtualResource team, focusing on:

  • Ensuring the seamless deployment and post-deployment service delivery of Workday Payroll solutions tailored to the Canadian Payroll landscape of the customer.
  • Handling all configuration and functional adjustments required in the client environment and responding to customer cases based on prioritization.
  • Collaborating with customer Payroll leads to improve, rectify, and expand their existing Workday Payroll system.

As a VR consultant, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your set objectives and client demands. Often your team will be a mix of on-site and remote based members who will connect using IM, video calls and an online ticketing system. Good communication skills and time management is essential for this role.

Requirements

What skills are we looking for?

Our roles are remotely based (even pre-Covid), meaning you will be working from your home office, connecting with your client and team on a daily basis.

To be successful in this type of environment, you will need to have the ability to communicate effectively (in English) with cross-functional teams, explain complex concepts in easy, understandable terms, align HR / business knowledge with Workday functionality, and proactively drive process improvements. You will need to be comfortable with video calls and be proactive in keeping communication channels open with your client and team.

Must have Skills Required

  • At least 4 years’ experience with Workday Payroll configuration (certification is an advantage) (Ideally Canadian and US Payroll experience)

  • Ability to work with clients on review and analysis of current payroll configuration and processes

  • Comfortable configuring Payroll changes and determining downstream effects

  • Comfort with functionality related to Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking

Other Qualifications/Skills that will be beneficial but not mandatory

  • College or University Degree in HR or Information Systems
  • Human Resource work experience
  • Customer Service work experience
  • Software Design Courses

As this is a remote role, you can be based anywhere in North America, so long as you are authorised to work in the country you reside in without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
