Summary

Join Glass Lewis as a Research Associate and contribute to the production of unbiased, independent research on corporate governance and remuneration. Working with research teams, you will review company meeting materials, analyze corporate governance and remuneration practices, and provide voting recommendations. This fixed-term, full-time contract (2-4 months) offers remote or onsite work in Ireland, starting February 17th, 2025. The role focuses on either governance or remuneration, covering various meeting proposals. A degree in business, economics, finance, law, finance journalism, corporate governance, language translation, or public policy is required, along with excellent English skills and basic competency in at least one other language.

Requirements

  • Possess a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, Finance journalism, Corporate Governance, Language translation, or Public Policy
  • Demonstrate excellent English reading and writing skills
  • Exhibit basic reading competency in at least one of the following languages: French
  • Possess task and time management skills
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines whilst paying attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; personable
  • Possess excellent written English plus reading competency in one of the languages listed above
  • Demonstrate IT skills: proficiency in MS Office, Excel and online research tools

Responsibilities

  • Review meeting materials disclosed by publicly listed companies (e.g. annual report, notice of meeting)
  • Analyze information with regards to corporate governance and remuneration practices
  • Summarize meeting proposals and provide voting recommendations based on best practice

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess understanding of economics, financial services, accounting, compliance, corporate law, governance, finance journalism and public policy
  • Have experience in qualitative research or corporate governance
