Summary

Join RetailNext's Go-to-Market team as a Retail Engagement Analyst and help maintain leadership in retail analytics by working with various companies to understand shopper behavior and optimize the consumer experience through big data analytics.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in analytics and insights, presenting findings to cross-functional teams and clients
  • Ability to partner with customers to translate strategic objectives and data points
  • Strong critical thinking skills, able to work independently and handle ambiguity
  • Knowledge of Tableau or other visualization tools is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience building collaborative relationships
  • Experience presenting complex data and recommendations to customers is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • A plus but not required: experience analyzing large data sets with Python, R, or other programming languages (Python preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze shopper movement data to uncover insights and develop new methodologies as needed
  • Visualize data to understand shopper behavior within retail spaces
  • Evaluate current processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Identify challenges in data, project scope, or timelines and provide thoughtful solutions
  • Collaborate with R&D and Product teams to develop new features
  • Integrate new datasets, including CRM and beacon data, into analyses to enrich insights
  • Understand key data points from customers and manage floor plans to collect necessary data
  • Lead weekly working sessions to ensure customers understand and act on data insights
  • Onboard new users as needed and manage the lifecycle of each customer
  • Partner with the Account team to assist with zone maintenance and developing video maps
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support customer needs and serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing their concerns and following up promptly
  • Drive platform and data use and adoption
  • Build and nurture relationships with additional departments within customer organizations
  • Provide ongoing education, communication, and relationship management
  • Ensure the success of lab projects by uncovering additional use cases and reviewing customer data with insights teams
  • Support escalation and management of issues as needed
  • Serve as a technical counterpart to the Consulting and Account teams, translating client requests into technical scopes and outputs into shopper behavior insights
  • Use quantitative analysis and data visualization to tell the story behind the numbers and provide actionable recommendations
  • Attend client calls and meetings to understand needs, and explain results, and methodologies
  • Partner with the Account team to help customers operationalize data for strategic decisions
  • Lead quarterly business reviews
