Summary

Join BELLA+CANVAS as a Retail Support Specialist, serving as the primary point of contact for all store IT issues. You will provide remote and on-site support, manage vendors, and ensure maximum store uptime. This role requires strong communication and technical skills, including experience with various hardware and software systems. You will train store personnel and other help desk members, while also contributing to projects and documentation. Based in the UK, some travel will be required. The position involves collaboration with store management, operations staff, and other IT teams.

Requirements

  • Be based in the UK
  • Have experience working with Windows 10 and iPad/iOS
  • Possess POS hardware and software experience
  • Have experience with Cisco/Meraki networking, Aerohive wireless access points, ISP & network troubleshooting, and vendor management (alarms/security cameras, cabling vendors, etc.)
  • Understand VoIP cloud-based phone systems, traffic counters, loss prevention equipment (AM frequency door detection systems), security cameras, thermal and laser printers, and barcode scanners
  • Be able to travel and be on-call for urgent issues

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with store management, staff, and HQ retail personnel, providing personable and effective support
  • Provide technical support encompassing desktop repair, POS support, audio systems, light network work, and other store-specific technologies (e.g., traffic counters)
  • Train store personnel and other help desk team members on the use of store technologies
  • Ensure store employees are informed on proper inventory management, credit card handling, and other compliance procedures
  • Lead and participate in projects involving new technology rollouts, coordinating with various teams
  • Provide thorough documentation on all technologies, vendors, and processes using platforms like SharePoint and Asana
  • Consistently review store technology use and policies, making recommendations for improvements in use and security

Preferred Qualifications

Have Shopify experience (POS software)
