Summary

Spectrum Billing Solutions is hiring a remote or hybrid Revenue Cycle AR Collections Specialist to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for performing insurance collections, resolving denials, filing appeals, negotiating reimbursement rates, and meeting billing metrics. Qualifications include 3+ years of healthcare billing and collections experience, knowledge of commercial insurance and government payor guidelines, and proficiency in medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare billing and collections
• Experience in all aspects of Revenue Cycle Management
• Knowledge of Commercial Insurance and Government Payor guidelines
• Understanding of insurance benefits and reimbursement
• Proficient in medical terminology, HIPAA and other critical governmental regulations
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to comprehend various insurance documentation, analyze and reconcile accounts and follow detailed procedures in an organized and efficient manner
• Superior communication, problem-solving and follow-up skills
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, billing software)

Responsibilities

• Research and resolve insurance denials
• File appeals on denied or underpaid claims
• Check claim status on appropriate payor systems and contact insurances as needed
• Send Medical Records and other documentation to payors as requested
• Follow up with patients and payors for payments
• Negotiate out-of-network reimbursement rates with insurances
• Review of Accounts Receivable Aging reports
• Meet daily, monthly, and quarterly billing metrics
