We are seeking a highly motivated coding professional with a CPC certification and at least 3 years of Risk Adjustment coding experience for Medicare Advantage and Medicaid. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, organized, and driven. This role involves coding medical records, researching regulatory guidelines, meeting quality standards, and preparing reports. The position requires strong coding skills, excellent communication, and a detail-oriented approach. This is a remote position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of coding and/or auditing Medicare Advantage and Medicaid (full code capture) risk adjustment experience
  • Extensive ICD-10-CM coding, particularly with Risk Adjustment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to β€œown” your assignments and see them through delivery
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven attitude
  • Ability to think critically and determine the best method for completing tasks
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, EMR systems, Risk Adjustment software, and internet)
  • Ability to multitask and keep a sense of urgency
  • Strong time management, organization skills, and work ethic
  • CPC certification

Responsibilities

  • Code medical records to validate ICD-10-CM codes for Risk Adjustment
  • Research regulatory guidelines for supporting documentation
  • Meet customer and AAPC production and quality standards
  • Prepare oral and/or written reports of work activity to Project Lead
  • Be responsible and accountable for maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information. Follow HIPAA security policies and procedures affecting your job, and report any suspected or actual violation or breach
