Risk Analyst

Summary

The job is for a Risk Analyst in the Portfolio Management team at SmartCoin, a financial inclusion organization based in Bangalore. The role involves understanding credit policies, providing thought-leadership on risk management, and coordinating with technology and business teams to build out new risk management capabilities.

Requirements

• 1+ Year of experience in credit scoring, risk modeling and policies
• Experience in credit risk for short-term unsecured loan products as personal loans and credit cards in the Indian market
• Experience in developing lending, customer acquisitions and portfolio management strategies
• Proficiency in relevant analytic programming skills (R, Python, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Understand the credit policies for various Banks and NBFCs in the Indian lending space
• Provide thought-leadership on risk management, portfolio quality, statistical delinquency models, income estimation, fraud prevention and customer acquisition strategies
• Monitor and improve existing portfolio quality by designing tests and experiments capturing customer credit behavior insights
• Coordinate with technology and business team to build out new risk management capabilities and refine existing ones
• Ideate and help launch next-generation lending products and structures that will drive the next level of innovation
