Join Varo's Enterprise Risk Analytics team as a Risk Automation Developer. This crucial role centers on designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions to enhance our risk management framework. You will optimize processes, leverage technology, and use data to mitigate risk. Key responsibilities include automating risk management processes using RPA, managing existing processes, performing data analysis with SQL and Python, and proactively managing risks through automated monitoring. You will also champion continuous improvement and serve as an RPA subject matter expert. This position requires strong automation, programming, and analytical skills, along with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing RPA solutions using industry-standard tools
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
• Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions
• Experience building reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously expand your skill set in the evolving field of risk automation

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to streamline risk management processes
• Identify manual, repetitive tasks ripe for automation and create efficient, scalable solutions
• Take ownership of existing risk management processes, ensuring their smooth and efficient execution, even if currently manual
• Identify areas for improvement and document procedures thoroughly
• Utilize your SQL and Python expertise to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and develop insightful reporting that informs risk management strategies
• Develop and maintain automated monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
• Contribute to the creation of predictive models and early warning indicators
• Continuously evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for enhancement and automation
• Collaborate with risk managers and business partners to refine and improve automation solutions
• Serve as a subject matter expert on RPA and related technologies
• Research and recommend new tools and techniques to enhance our automation capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with risk management frameworks and methodologies
• Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization tools
• Experience in the financial services industry
