Ruby on Rails Engineer

Summary

Join Azumo, a San Francisco-based software development firm, as a Senior Engineer specializing in Ruby on Rails (RoR). This remote position, based in Latin America, offers the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team on SaaS and big data projects. As a key engineer, you will design, develop, and test server features, integrate applications with third-party systems, and evaluate various approaches to problem-solving. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality RoR applications while working within time constraints and collaborating with team members.

Requirements

• BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience with backend development, Ruby on Rails
• 1+ years experience with virtual-dom based frontend technologies (React or Vue,js)
• Deep expertise with Linux and hosted cloud environments (Heroku, AWS, App Engine or other)
• Practical experience with open source technologies, including SQL and NoSQL DBs
• Experience integrating solutions with 3rd party APIs (RESTful, OAuth, JSON)
• Self-driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving
