Requirements

  • Have experience in DevOps or a similar role, and experience as a Technical Lead, supported by a related technical degree
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be fluent in one or more scripting languages
  • Have expertise in managing cloud-hosted systems, including configuration, deployment, auto-scaling, performance tuning, and disaster recovery
  • Be proficient in source control, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker
  • Have experience in AWS, Terraform, and Salesforce architecture
  • Be adept at using Salesforce deployment tools such as Azure DevOps, Gearset, and Copado
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills to scope work, manage backlogs, and ensure predictable project delivery
  • Have good knowledge of basic networking and cloud security concepts
  • Be able to logically work through problems, correlating and investigating patterns in behaviour and logging
  • Have experience with continuous integration systems CI/CD (e.g., Git, Github)
  • Have strong Git command-line skills

Responsibilities

  • Drive all DevOps activity through designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth Salesforce Sales Cloud deployments and maintaining the security and integrity of the platform
  • Drive multi-functional collaboration with engineers, product managers, and external partners to deploy, operate, automate, monitor, and continuously improve services
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality products and a premium customer experience
  • Provide strategic guidance on long-term platform requirements and operational guidelines, emphasising automation and the continuous improvement of platform service composability and availability
  • Own and enhance standard processes and methodologies for provisioning, application scaling, configuration management, capacity planning, and monitoring, advancing organisation-wide visibility into the performance and interaction of distributed systems in production
  • Manage daily operational goals and critical metrics
  • Raise engineering standards by implementing best practices for coding, testing, and deployment
  • Mentor and guide team members to foster their growth and expertise
