Summary

Join Toast's Business Technology and Transformation (BTT) team as a Lead Salesforce Developer! You will collaborate with a team to deliver innovative Salesforce solutions. This role requires extensive Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning, VF) in an enterprise environment, along with leadership skills and a deep understanding of Agile methodologies. You will mentor team members, perform code reviews, and ensure high-quality code delivery. The ideal candidate possesses advanced Salesforce platform knowledge, including CPQ experience, and holds relevant certifications. Toast offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including a base salary range of $123,000 - $197,000 USD, plus additional cash compensation, equity, and benefits.

Requirements

  • 10+ years Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning, VF) in an Enterprise environment
  • Advanced experience with sharing, security, visibility, data models, Flows and other Salesforce platform features & components
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud or Service Cloud.(Experience Cloud a plus)
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ configuration and implementation
  • Experience in Salesforce CPQ Products, Features, Options, Configuration Attributes
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ Product Rules, Pricing Rules, Lookup Queries
  • Experience with Salesforce Discounting, contracts, quote templates, and renewals
  • Experience in the Quote to Cash Domain (preferably CPQ (Salesforce CPQ/Conga/Industry CPQ) and/or Billing (Zuora/Salesforce Billing/Conga Billing)
  • Experience leading a team of developers through the delivery of projects/features
  • Advanced understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and support other team members as needed
  • Experience with stakeholder management and ability to communicate effectively
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II certifications
  • Salesforce CPQ certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline

Responsibilities

  • Spend the majority of your time working on Salesforce related development tasks
  • Work with Salesforce platform - Security, Sharing, Visibility, Data Model, Flows etc
  • Work with APEX- Triggers, Platform Event handlers, batch processes, Async processes, frameworks & patterns etc
  • Work with VF pages, Aura and Lightning Web components
  • Work with Web Services - Rest, SOAP, Authentication, Authorization, Patterns etc
  • Mentor, guide and support team members on their assignments and be a bar raiser
  • Follow design, architecture and development best practices
  • Perform code reviews and be actively involved in deployment processes
  • Use GitHub tooling and PR process
  • Follow appropriate review etiquette
  • Ensure the delivery of the highest quality code
  • Be actively involved in deployment processes
  • Identify affected components
  • Merge code with the rest of the code base
  • Identify and resolve merge conflicts
  • Develop adequate tests that cover and validate code
  • Assist in developing project estimates and plans for self and others
  • Accurately size stories based on SCRUM process
  • Deliver work on time
  • Escalate blockers timely
  • Become proficient in troubleshooting issues
  • Leverage Developer Console, Workbench and other troubleshooting tools
  • Analyze Salesforce Debug Logs for errors and performance issues
  • Proactively seek out and keep up-to-date on Salesforce technologies, related tools, and best practices
  • Proactively highlight issues, concerns and blockers to ensure timely delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using ServiceNow or similar tool
  • Experience using Jira or similar tool
  • Experience using version control tools (GitHub)
  • Experience using Salesforce CI/CD tools (Copado)
