Summary
Join Visa as a Staff SDET and become an ambassador of quality within an Agile Product squad. You will ensure the team delivers efficient and scalable solutions by designing, developing, and maintaining QA solutions and processes. This role involves coaching the team on QA best practices and collaborating with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria. You will leverage your expertise in automated UI testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud technologies (AWS, Docker, Datadog). The position requires strong coding skills (TypeScript or JavaScript) and a deep understanding of agile methodologies (BDD, ATDD, TDD). This is a remote position.
Requirements
- Strong automated UI testing experience, ideally in Playwright
- Strong coding ability in TypeScript or JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI
- Strong experience integrating testing at various levels into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication skills: written & verbal
- Strong understanding of agile methods of software delivery and the principles and practices of BDD, ATDD and TDD
- Strong knowledge of Containerisation tools, such as Docker
- Experience with AWS (public cloud)
- Strong knowledge of Datadog
- Has played a major role in the delivery of high quality solutions, in a micro services environment, across large cloud-native architectures
- Has designed, developed and evolved the test architecture of large scale, highly available cloud solutions
- Has driven positive change towards Continuous testing, DevOps and Agile
- Comfortable challenging the status quo
- The ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders in order to determine appropriate acceptance criteria for both business and technical needs
- Ability to make tactical as well as strategic decisions and recommendations based on incomplete or ambiguous information
- The ability to technically analyse a problem and a solution and recognise the right level of detail and abstraction to lead discussions with different stakeholders
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelorβs Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, build and maintain QA solutions and processes
- Coach and guide all in the team on QA best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Contract testing experience, ideally with Pact/Pactflow
- Knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS)
- Kafka experience
- Experience with mocking tools such as Wiremock
- Ideally from a background in FinTech, Payments or Financial Services
