Security Operations Analyst

Summary

Join Wiz, a rapidly growing cloud security company, as a Sydney-based Security Operations Analyst. You will contribute to a secure-by-design experience for Wiz employees, balancing productivity with robust security for the company and its customers. This role demands hands-on experience in endpoint security, identity and access management, detection and response, vulnerability management, and SaaS application security. You will triage and resolve security alerts, develop and improve security procedures, review SaaS configurations, conduct access reviews, and manage security systems. Staying current on security threats and best practices is crucial. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and communication skills.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in security operations or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience using SIEM platforms or data warehouse tools to analyze log data for security events
• Experience in remote-first, SaaS first-organizations

Responsibilities

• Security alert triage, resolution and escalation
• Develop and improve existing standard operating procedures, response actions, policies, and guidelines
• Review SaaS security configurations and collaborate with IT to implement improvements
• Conduct access reviews and remediate issues as needed
• Maintain and manage security systems including antivirus/anti-malware, DLP, network protection, and endpoint detection & response tools
• Stay up to date on the latest security threats, trends, and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience working in organizations that build and operate SaaS products
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages
