Security Risk Senior Manager

Summary

Join ServiceNow's Security Organization as a Security Risk Senior Manager to lead risk management initiatives, support executive decision-making, and enhance security risk visibility. You will establish risk frameworks, assess risks in key business areas, and educate stakeholders on security risks. The ideal candidate will translate technical risks into business impacts, ensuring risk-centric decision-making. This role involves driving risk-based business outcomes with partner organizations, conducting risk assessments of mergers and acquisitions, and developing standardized reporting mechanisms. You will track risk mitigation strategies, maintain a centralized repository of risk assessments, and ensure consistent prioritization across the organization. The position requires strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify risk-related nuances
• High level of engagement with stakeholders across various business units
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex risk topics to diverse audiences
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with executives, providing clear insights into business risks
• Strong analytical skills to assess security risks in a business context
• Experience with risk management frameworks, governance, and compliance standards
• Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence key decision-makers

Responsibilities

• Assist leadership, the board, and internal partners in identifying and prioritizing key security risks
• Communicate risk-based recommendations clearly to executives, translating technical risks into business impact
• Educate internal teams on risk management principles, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Drive risk-based business outcomes with our partner organizations and ensure alignment with business priorities
• Develop and implement security risk management frameworks to support internal stakeholders
• Conduct risk assessments of mergers & acquisitions, and key business initiatives
• Track and manage risk mitigation strategies with alignment to KPIs, qualitative and quantitative risk drivers
• Develop standardized reporting mechanisms to enhance visibility into security risks
• Ensure consistency in risk-based prioritization across the organization
• Maintain a centralized repository of risk assessments and action plans

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security risk management, governance, or compliance roles
• Experience supporting M&A risk assessments and enterprise security risk programs
• Prior experience in a corporate security, cybersecurity, or enterprise risk management function
• Experience with ServiceNow IRM
