Summary

Join New Era Technology as a Security Solutions Engineer and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of security solutions in various environments. Requirements

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to write clean and maintainable code
  • 3+ years of experience with Python or similar languages
  • Proven experience designing and implementing serverless applications in AWS, including hands-on use of Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge
  • Strong understanding of secure event-driven architectures and cloud security principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on secure and scalable solutions
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement secure, event-driven solutions leveraging AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, and EventBridge
  • Develop and integrate automation that collects, processes, remediates, and lifecycles security alerts from a variety of security tools and applications
  • Apply security best practices in the design of cloud solutions, including encryption, IAM policies, and secure data flows
  • Implement and monitor compliance with appropriate industry regulations such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, or GDPR
  • Use cloud-native IaC services to deploy cloud resources
  • Normalize alert data to standardized data models
  • Contribute to the knowledgebase and documentation of workflows, architectures, and systems
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with AWS or Azure infrastructure
  • 1+ year of experience with Azure DevOps or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or Datadog
