Senior Analyst, Business Analytics

Summary

Join Unite Us as a Senior Analyst, Business Analytics and contribute to data-driven analyses and actionable reports for healthcare payers, providers, and government entities. Leverage Tableau to communicate analyses and develop custom SQL queries for ad-hoc reporting. Enable internal teams in using data analytics tools and support data storytelling. Take initiative to improve processes and partner with other teams on user acceptance testing. Mentor analysts and support ongoing team development. This role requires at least 3 years of experience in healthcare-related analytics and expertise in data visualization using Tableau or similar software. A four-year college degree is required, preferably in a related field. The position is remote and US-based.

Requirements

• At least 3 years in a full-time role in healthcare-related analytics, reporting, software, and/or consulting
• Proven ability to leverage diverse data assets to solve complex business problems, often involving ambiguous requirements
• Expert-level data visualization skills
• Proficiency in SQL required; experience with R, Python, or another analytical coding language strongly preferred
• Demonstrated expertise using Tableau or other leading data visualization software required, including dashboard optimization
• Extensive experience developing, presenting, and influencing stakeholders with complex analyses and reports, including creating compelling slide decks and verbally communicating actionable results to diverse audiences
• At least a four-year college degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of data-driven analyses and actionable reports, with strong data storytelling, to translate business objectives into actionable insights for medium to large customer contracts
• Leverage Tableau dashboard visualizations to communicate analyses to customer; play a supporting role in presentation of data & impact story directly to customer, as needed
• Develop custom SQL queries (with little oversight) to support ad hoc reporting requests, drive innovative analyses, and feed new data stories
• Enable the internal Sales and Customer Success teams in the learning and use of data analytics tools, supporting their data storytelling in day to day customer interactions
• Takes initiative to address identified gaps in Business Analytics processes & support materials; collaborates with team members outside of direct team to improve practices and processes of larger scale
• Partners with product management and data engineering teams to provide user acceptance testing and insight into development of new/updated dashboards in the Unite Us business intelligence tool
• Supports ongoing learning and development of team, especially around data storytelling for standard customer-facing analyses
• Mentors Analysts by providing feedback, guidance, QA, and support on assigned deliverables
