Senior Analytics Engineer

Requirements

• Complete higher education in Computer Science, Systems Analyst, Information Systems, Engineering, or related areas
• 2+ years of experience in developing data products for decision-making
• Knowledge of statistical modeling of business problems and hypothesis validation tests
• Strong knowledge of the Spark platform and development of applications for the analysis of large volumes of data, following the best development practices of the platform, using Scala or Python languages
• Excellent knowledge of SQL language and experience with relational databases, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of version control tools and code organization and evolution practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in teams that use agile methodologies
• Advanced English - Necessary for interface with the European team

Responsibilities

• Analyze, map, and document requirements
• Perform Data Modeling for better performance in the visualization tool
• Develop Data Workloads in ELT (Extract, Load, and Transformation) tools to centralize and unify data in a Data Warehouse or Lakehouse
• Maintain the data repository (Warehouse or Lakehouse) organized and clean
• Create and maintain Documentation and Metadata about the Data
• Develop analytical views from Visualization and EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis) tools
• Align Architectures with Business Requirements
• Implement solutions that promote ease, security, and scalability of data access
• Develop using clean and organized code, documented, modularized into classes, packages, services, and systems
• Value code maintainability
• Maintain high-quality databases, with already sanitized and modeled data, ready for consumption by data analysts and end-users
• Take care of the analytics stack, so that the entire company has access to reliable and updated data ready to be consumed
• Train users to manipulate data in visualization tools and maintain data documentation
• Development and execution of a validation plan for the results of the products created
• Automation of data processes for generating quality indicators of the results of the developed models
• Contact with national and international internal teams for the development of solutions
• Documentation and support on the analytical products developed to internal and external teams
• Assertive communication to generate the appropriate level of explainability of data and results
• Actively participate in innovation and product improvements
