Senior Android Developer

Summary

Join ManpowerGroup Greece and work as a fully remote Senior Android Developer for an international technology services provider specializing in ISO-compliant mobile driving licenses and wallet apps. Based in Greece (with a valid EU work permit), you will contribute to the design and development of secure mobile wallet applications. Collaborate with a dedicated team, mentor junior developers, and ensure the robustness and reliability of applications. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in Android development with strong knowledge of Kotlin
• At least 1-2 years of experience with Android Jetpack (e.g., Navigation, WorkManager, Room, etc.)
• Proficiency in Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries for integrating mobile applications
• Experience with Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle development
• Expertise in implementing security frameworks and ensuring compliance with data encryption standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Mentor junior developers, leading by example in terms of code quality and engineering best practices
• Conduct thorough unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions, ensuring robustness and reliability
• Stay up-to-date with new technology trends, applications, and protocols within the mobile landscape, especially regarding Android development
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
