Senior Animator

Summary

Join VGW, an interactive entertainment company, as a Senior Animator to bring our games to life and create compelling customer experiences. You will collaborate with a team of artists, contribute to creative vision through storyboarding and research, and mentor junior animators. This role requires 7+ years of creative design experience, preferably in gaming, a Bachelor’s Degree in art/design, and advanced skills in 2D/3D animation and relevant software. Requirements

• 7+ years of creative design experience, preferably in gaming industry
• Bachelor’s Degree in art/design
• Advanced 2D/3D animation experience
• Advanced skills in Spine and After Effects
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, and animation
• Experience in storyboarding and video production

Responsibilities

• Work with our existing team of artists to ensure that our games come to life and offer an immersive customer experience by providing and executing high quality game animations for our content portfolio
• Work closely with the head of studio and game development director to identify required assets for a project
• Provide creative vision through storyboarding, mocks, and research. Accurately estimate the work to realize that vision
• Maintain a deep knowledge of current competitors, trends, and the industry. Know what’s hot and what’s in and apply that to our content
• Offer animation mentorship and guidance to the art team and level-up our overall animation quality
• Represent our Studio in liaising with our partner Studios (GFS) to share learnings and best practices
