As a key member of the accounting operations team, you will be responsible for financial transactions related to monthly accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. With a strong background in accounting or finance, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team and make a meaningful impact on the company's success.

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Internationally recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA) is preferred
  • A Minimum of 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience within re/insurance is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner
  • Address and resolve discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly
  • Assist in the preparation and posting of journal entries, including month-end and year-end closing entries
  • Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliations
  • Ensure reconciliations are completed in accordance with established timelines and procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Support the preparation of management reports and analysis to aid in decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems, processes, and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve operational effectiveness
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation and schedules for internal and external audits
  • Support the implementation of audit recommendations and address any findings
  • Work closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure coordinated and efficient operations
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting operations
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Accounting Operations Manager or Director
  • Provide support for ad hoc financial analyses and reporting as required
