Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Tax, or a related field or the foreign equivalent
• At least 3 years of progressive experience of highly specialized knowledge and expertise in the area of state and local taxation

Responsibilities

• Reviewing state corporate, partnership, and individual returns not requiring advanced expertise
• Preparing and reviewing state amended returns of any variety and complexity
• Responding to tax notices of any sort and draft any letters required
• Performing tax research projects requiring moderate expertise
• Conducting nexus analyses for income, sales, and gross receipts taxes
• Preparing and reviewing apportionment analysis, state tax modification and adjustment workpapers
• Developing and training staff as it relates to state and local tax (SALT) expertise
